Environmental sustainability

To power our data centers, and all the Aruba facilities and offices in Italy, we only buy 100% renewable energy. For the Aruba Group, more than just an energy policy, eco-sustainability is a true company philosophy as we strive to improve the quality and efficiency of our facilities and also reduce the costs.

Minimal environmental impact

Using our own hydroelectric plants and photovoltaic installations, we produce a substantial amount of renewable energy which we feed into the National Grid.

In addition, our Data Centers are powered exclusively by renewable energy produced by European Guarantee of Origin (GO) certified sources.

From power supply to data room air-conditioning systems, our facilities are all equipped with cutting-edge, high-performance technology, equipment and systems.

Data Center

Aruba collaborates with Duferco Energia to search eco-energy solutions by optimizing consumptions in any way possible. This partnership, in addition, ensures the supply of green energy certified by the "Renewable energy Guaranteed" seal, which guarantees that the energy used by the Aruba Data Centers is green energy certified by the "Guarantee of Origin" issued by the GSE (Gestore dei Servizi Energetici). For Aruba, working with Duferco Energia brings:
  • financial savings with carefully selected energy sources;
  • environmental savings through the use of certified renewable energy;
  • energy savings with the optimization of consumptions and self-sufficiency.

Certificates

The Guarantee of Origin (GO) is an electronic certification which certifies the renewable origin of the sources used by the GO qualified facilities in accordance with the directive 2009/28/EC of the European Parliament and the Resolution of Authority for electricity and gas ARG/elt 104/11. Aruba obtained this certificate in 2013.
